<p>What snark? This is devastating news. I feel like he was part of my family. I can’t imagine what his family is going through.</p>

<p>Very sad - I liked the guy too. We just happened upon Oceans 11 a week ago, and I enjoyed him in that. I think I saw he and his wife intereviewed awhile back, and thought he seemed like a great family man.</p>
<p>Thanks for posting this. I heard something early this morning but hadn’t seen a cause of death. My boys and I love “The Bernie Mac Show,” which we started watching a couple of years ago in reruns.</p>
<p>Well, in case ID’s post wasnt flippant, they announced that a public memorial service would be held in his home town of Chicago next weekend.</p>

<p>I too have watch his show in reruns late at night and really came to like him. I was very sad to hear of his passing at such an early age well before his time.</p>
