best admission officer EVER

i must praise wustl’s admission officer, nanette tarbouni. she is just awesome: super friendly, excellent speaker, knowledgable, positive, every-smiling. if you ever have a chance to meet her, you will want to go to wustl. i know admission officers are supposed to sell their school, but she goes beyond to get to know you and really excite you about the university.

i also went to a wustl reception and alums and parents of current students attended to answer questions. it just surprised me of the positive feedback–so positive that parents would take off from work to encourage other applicants.

this all sums up to a wonderful community reputation at wustl. i know it isn’t perfect, but it sounds like the most caring college campus community yet. family can definately be found here.

she is so great - but she’s the dean of ad. the best officer is by far Jim Burmeister who I know deals with Utah, he has been ridiculously helpful to me. When I got deferred and called, he called back first thing the next day and had a long conversation with me about what i can do.

i completely agree with you smile05, thats a great thing about the school - everyone you speak to is so willing to help and do whatever they can. definatley refreshing from teh mostly cold, superiority-complex-afflicted adcoms of the process as a whole

WU is one of the most personal unis i’ve come across. The others are anonymous.
Nanette Tarbouni emails regularly. besides WUSTl sends tons of mail to me. I hear from every fortnight.
THat’s enough to make you want to go there especially as i am international!

Sorry guys…Jerome Strickland takes the cake.

Steven Frappier is really cool as well, he’s really down-to-earth and easy to talk to. WUSTL has people that make you feel comfortable and that act like they want to hear what you have to say.

yea sounds like good officers aren’t uncommon for wash u…did u apply RD and if so for what major?

i bet we got the best of the best

yea washu is so cool. julie shimabokuro is really nice too. have you guys visited the campus? results?

yea i have…i’ll be going back in march. I love the campus, the city, the whole environment on campus. Have you visited?

Sorry but Jeremy Raphael is the best here. No competition. :D

Ding Ding! Correct!

i visited the campus over the summer and had 4 interviews (while wearing formal attire and heels=heat+pain but worth it) i fell in love with the campus. its such a nice size and all of the buildings a pretty, except for hte law one i think. i can twait for next fall!
