Best AP Classes on FLVS?

What are the best AP classes to take on FLVS? What was your experience with them? How long did/will it take you to finish the course? Would you recommend the class to someone else?

answer someone?

My daughter took Macro on FLVS. It was an excellent course and her teacher was very good. But it was a lot of work!

Thanks for your input fishymom! I am willing to work hard to finish the work on time. I might take it next year.

Anyone else?

any other opinions?

I heard that APUSH is great online. It’s like the Sims.

Like the Sims? Wow! That is so cool!

AP MacroEcon and AP MicroEcon.

Ask for Brenda Peterson. Great teacher and extremely easy grader.

If you’re into computers and want to learn basic programming, AP Computer Science is pretty great on there. Be warned though, it is a LOT of work. I started over the summer and still haven’t finished up. Granted, I have a busy schedule at school and was taking another course over the summer. It’s enjoyable for me though, but just be warned it does take time which might be something you don’t have a lot of.

You can ask to have specific teachers? Really?

I love working with computers! I will consider AP Computer Science. Do you need to know any programming/html codes or web design before doing the course? Does it involve a lot of math?

@AimHigh2

You don’t need to know any programming. I knew 0 actual programming and just a little bit of web design, and this was of no consequence. The course is really just to teach you a programming language from the ground up, so it’s assumed you have no prior knowledge of it.
I wouldn’t say it involves a lot of math, but it does involve a lot of logic, which is sort of related. I don’t mean formal logic, like truth tables and such, but in a lot of the later programs you do have to logically think about how your program will flow. I find it fun and challenging, but if you were never the type to like logic puzzles then it would probably be agonizing.
