Best area for undergraduate engineering jobs?

What areas would have the best career opportunities for an undergraduate mechanical engineer after graduation?

South Carolina

vs

Colorado

I am currently going to school in South Carolina (out of state tuition) and am considering transferring back home to Colorado (instate tuition) for a number of reasons. I am just trying to weigh in all aspects of this decision.

Washington DC, Bethesda MD, Richmond VA, Raleigh NC, Virginia Beach VA. All on east coast. DC, Bethesda (in DC area), and Virginia Beach are especially good for engineers.

Depends. Colorado has some ridiculous hiring for petroleum/gas right now.
