<p>And now my two cents:</p>
<p>Rhode Island School of Design (RISD) and Maryland Institute of College of Art (MICA) are probably, overall, the best art colleges. Others to look at: SCAD, the School of Visual Arts, Pratt, Massachusetts College of the Arts (MassArts), University of the Arts (UArts), Tyler, Parsons, Cal Arts.</p>
<p>Some regular universities with good art programs: Carnegie Mellon (very well known), Connecticut College, Williams, Virginia Commonwealth, Sarah Lawrence, Bard.</p>
