I know the post for most common books to read. But how about the most common, most used AP Literature authors?

Shakespeare, Fyodor Doestievsky (no idea about spelling: Crime and Punishment guy), Austen, Bronte, Kafka, Camus, Stoppard, Arthur Miller, Tennessee Williams, Ovid, Homer…

If you know the common books, you’ll know the common authors.

“Most used”? Not sure what you mean, but assuming you mean the third essay (which offers a list of books to choose from), you needn’t concern yourself with that–you may write about any book “of recognized literary merit” for that essay prompt and may completely dispense with the proffered list.

Well I have a project where I read three books by the same author. And I just wanted to know which author shows up on that list of books most frequently

That list is irrelevant. You can write about that author, assuming his or her work is “of recognized literary merit.”
