best B-schools

hey i am an international undergraduate applicant …currently in 12th grade…gpa 3.3 … SAT - 1800 …i was wondering which of the following universities would be best/easy for me to get in…

USC
UIUC
Indiana Bloomington
Fordham
University of Texas Austin
University of florida
University of Iowa

thnxx a lot in advancee…

Highly unlikely to get into USouthernCalifornia, Illinois, UT and Florida.

UT-Austin, USC, UIUC and Indiana are probably the best B-Schools off of that list, and the hardest to get into.

I imagine the order would go like this:

UT-Austin

Indiana/USC

UIUC

After those, there is a large difference in quality between schools. Fordham would be next, followed by Florida, followed by Iowa. Iowa would definitely be the easiest to get into.

^ Those may be the best schools, but I don’t know if you could get into them comfortably. Texas is extremely difficult to get into out-of-state, from what I understand.

You should check out their profiles on collegeboard… They should give you approximate GPA and SAT score ranges.

Yeah, that’s what I meant in my message.

UT’s probably the hardest to get into, followed by Indiana/USC, followed by UIUC. However, all four of these schools are roughly equal in quality.

Fordham is much easier to get into than those four, Florida is much easier to get into than Fordham, and Iowa is the easiest to get into.

^ not sure why the above poster thinks Florida is relatively easy to get into compared to the others…it’s not.

yeahh…hmmm…kk…now iv seen the texas profile on collegeboard…and their requirements arent that great…my grades are fine for that…but the only problem is that they hardly accept anyone out of state…so hmmm…and actually Florida is ranked around 45 whereas Iowa is around 28 in the business rankings…its still easier to get in Iowa than Florida???

any other good colleges for my grade???

thnxx

Texas is easier to get into than Florida.

2007 Freshman entering classes:

UT:
Test Scores
Middle 50% of First-Year Students
SAT Critical Reading: 540 - 670
SAT Math: 570 - 700
ACT Composite: 23 - 29

UF:
Test Scores Middle 50% of First-Year Students
SAT Critical Reading: 560 - 670
SAT Math: 580 - 690
ACT Composite: 25 - 29

yeahhh…and i am re-giving my SAT this october…so i think my math score is fine…but i really need to improve on critical reading…since almost all schools require above 600 …
any other good schools…?!

To reiterate, I believe by law Texas has to accept certain in-state students. Out-of-state is much more competitive than what you’ll read on collegeboard (for certain schools with similar requirements like California public colleges).

You’ll need at least a 1300/1900 to be competitive to their liberal arts school. The business school may be even more competitive than that. Give them a call to the average GPA/SAT score they accept out-of-state for the b-school.

I don’t know anything about Florida. May want to call them up as well. I see that both Florida and Texas are about 95% in-state =/

I don’t know too much about international admissions. Whether they would be harder than me from Jersey…

Here is a ranking and raw data from business week

[Undergrad - BSchools](http://bwnt.businessweek.com/interactive_reports/undergrad_bschool/)

yeahhh thats truee…Florida is even worse…its just got 1% out of state…which sucks miserably…but since my gf is there and one of my dad’s great friend also lives there, so my living problem would be solved…but its actually pretty ahrd to get in for international…
but dunno…and yeahh texas…thts right abt liberal arts…but its not known at all for its liberal arts…its way too famous for its b program…thts why m interested…and yeah thnxx…il surely call em up!!

any other good schooolls??
