I’m transferring out of my local cc to a 4 year college in the fall. I’m looking for a big school with a good football team. I have visited Penn States main campus and love the set up, its small city made for students. Everything you need is there and off campus housing is available as long as you can pay the price. (I know you are thinking, “why doesn’t this kid just go to Penn State”…i just want to see other options)

Any colleges that have a similar campus like Penn State?

Info
-Male, NJ, 19, Computer science as my intended major.

I’ve never been to penn state, but I would think umich fits your description. That’s where I go. Very expensive out of state, though, and I am not sure what admissions are like for OOS CCers. I was an in state CC transfer myself and they are friendly to those, but not sure about OOS.

P.S. But I guess our football team kind of sucks at the moment. The school spirit aspect is still there and people still go nuts over the football games, but until our D gets a little better we have to anticipate seeing some losses. lol

There are a number of big schools with great campuses and solid football teams around the nation, though academics vary between them. I would look at SEC, Big Twelve, and Big Ten schools which are mostly large state schools for possibilities and off the top of my head I would list:

Ohio State
Wisconsin
Alabama
Georgia
Iowa
Michigan State
Illinois
Texas
Nebraska
Florida
