My D is at wits end with a much older co-worker who is openly hostile. No hope of him leaving (been there 20 years). She hasn’t had much experience with toxic relationships. I would like to send her a book about dealing with this.
She needs to keep this job…they are working with her on reduced hours to take classes, they have great benefits, and huge reputation in her field. She just can’t afford to quit.
What are the best books, especially new ones, about dealing with toxic co-workers ?

Google Robert Sutton. He wrote a really good book on workplace bullying. Can’t post any links since the word a-hole is used to described this type of people in the title. “The No A** hole Rule…” Good luck to your D!

Saw this book in CVS - also available at Amazon. The title says it all!
Working Successfully with Screwed-Up People
Though I haven’t read it, I reallyl should!

I could use this too. Maybe I could discreetly drop it on my obnoxious coworker’s desk…

Condolences to your daughter. As I’ve mentioned on several threads, I’ve worked for and with more than my share of bullies.

She needs to develop her own network of supporters, and most importantly she needs to call out the bully whenever he does something nasty – e.g., “Why would you say that?” “Have I done something to offend you?” “I don’t think my behavior warrants your tone of voice.” Statements like these let the bully know that she is on to him and that she won’t put up with his nonsense.

Good luck. Experiences with bullies can be quite traumatic.
