Best books for AP Chem Test without taking AP chemistry?

I wanted to know from anyone who has gotten a 4 or 5 on te AP chem test w/o taking the AP chem class, what books/study material did you use? How do you recommend I study?

By taking the AP Chem class.

You’re too funny.

It’s really difficult to get a 4 or 5 without taking the class. A lot because of the labs, where you do a lot of your learning. That goes for AP Biology and any of the AP Physics classes as well.

Take an AP Chem class, there is no substitute.

I wasn’t joking. There are some APs where one can cram with a review book. AP Chem (or Bio or Physics C) is a not an example of such. As @ProfessorPlum168 correctly states (one of those rare times we agree  ) doing the labs is critical to understanding the material.

It’s that time of the year for miracles to come true B-)

Hey, I don’t know if this is still relevant to you but some books that helped me a lot were AP Chemistry Crash Course by Adrian Dingle and Cracking the AP Chemistry Exam by The Princeton Review. If you truly believe that you can do it, then you should go for it.
