can you guys recommend any good study books for the SAT2 Literature test?

I’m considering doing independent study for AP World History
can any of you guys recommend a good book(s) that would help w/ that?

I went with AMSCO, don’t worry if another book is newer, that doesn’t really matter. I bought it last year on recommendations from CC threads. There’s like a general consensus that it’s the best.

Barrons? That’s what I just bought (for self-study). It looks pretty good.

groovy
thanks 4 ur input :-D

have you taken a US history class?

and yes, AMSCO is the greatest. it was a supplement to our ap ushist textbook.

what i’ve heard most is that for tests such as ACT reading, lit subject test, and passage based SAT stuff, just, generally, read. especially read news-like stuff. it fits with the style of these tests more - you’re not reading a 517 page novel. you want to read something quick and short, that still has tone, purpose, etc etc etc.

also, does anyone really suggest self study for AP world history???
i’ve heard that it’s so broad it’s not wise to self study it, unless you have a textbook.

if i’m wrong, i’d also like to know the best self-study prep book.

AMSCO

No idea

Barron’s AP World History. WH is a very easy self study. In fact, it may even be to your benefit to self study it - teachers often go into way too much detail and don’t focus on the bigger picture.
