<p>What brand of fan did you send with your child to college? My PNW webbed- foot child will be attending school in sweltering Los Angeles and is concerned about lack of a/c in dorm rooms. </p>
<p>My daughter got a stand up tower fan from Sharper Image and the same smaller desktop model. They were pricier than “normal” fans from Target and the like, but they actually feel a bit cool instead of just blowing hot air around. </p>
