<p>Umm I would say you can make friends everywhere. But if you mean non-elitist or offering a lot of social opportunities, I suggest large state schools. Not that other schools don’t offer opportunities, but I feel state schools have a distinct atmosphere.</p>
<p>I agree that you could make friends anywhere, but I’d have to say that making close friendships is probably easier at smaller schools where you see the same people often. </p>
<p>That being said, since we don’t know anything about you, we can’t really tell you what schools would have the kind of people you’d become friends with. Some people would make tons of friends at Bard and hate the people at Colby, and vice versa. And some people would make tons of friends at both.</p>
