So this is the first week of classes and I’ve been signed up for two English classes: Chinese Literature and Romantic Literature. I took these classes because 1. I thought they sounded interesting and 2. the Chinese Lit class gives me core credits for my current school. The reason I’m worried about the core credits is because there’s no guarantee I’ll be transferring next year. The reason I’m thinking about dropping one of these courses and picking up another is because if I stayed at my current school, I would get a business degree and therefore need different courses (and I don’t have time to take ones I don’t need).

The problem I’m having is that in my transfer applications, I would apply to the English/Creative Writing department. I was wondering if switching out one English course for a business course would hurt my chances of being accepted elsewhere? Thanks.
