which buildings are known to have the cleanest, largest, etc. etc. dorms on campus?
do any of the dorms have private bathrooms?

You’re not going to have much choice in your housing anyway – so best not to get your heart set on a particular dorm. I think you can still specify a “neighborhood” and there’s almost no point in putting Central Campus - 'cause 99% of all students do and it’s more or less limited to upperclass and Honors students. There are no dorms with private bathrooms. If you need one for medical reasons, you might be able to arrange it. Most of the bathrooms have “private” shower stalls so you can change in a sort of dressing room. But most people sort of like to run into their friends and neighbors while brushing teeth in the AM. Nobody looks terribly glamorous with bed head. I rarely see a clean dorm room. They might start out that way, but after a few weeks, most are pretty disgusting. Hint: no maid service.

Thats not true…I am a freshman living on central campus. Central campus is worth putting down on the form. If you are a female there is a slight chance like me that you can end up in Barbour/Newberry located across from Angell Hall. There are freshman in West and South Quad (more in West than in South due to Honors housing) and well theres always East Quad. Go ahead, put central down it couldn’t hurt.

How are “party dorms” and such created if it is random?
