Best double minors for Communication major

<p>Hey everyone,</p>

<p>I’m a Communication major at my university and I was hoping to double minor. I want my first minor to be in Advertising because that’s what I want to focus on primarily, but I can’t think of another one. <p>I’m thinking of Business or Accounting. Which skill becomes a better use in a practical sense? I was also thinking about Statistics or Computer Science before…</p>

<p>Edit: I was also thinking of Marketing…too many options! Also, the Communication degree has an emphasis on Entertainment Business, if that helps clarify anything.</p>

<p>Accounting. “The language of business”. I know you’ve heard it all before but accounting is not “bean counting”. It is more similar to law than math and the subjects encountered deal with how much control and organization a business has over itself financially. That benefits anyone in the employment force. People know where funding is coming from and how much things will cost just tend to be better at completing any given task.</p>

<p>A major and double minor in communications/advertising/marketing approaches redundancy due to their similarities. A lot of job classifieds will list all three as equivalents of each other. Better off with one of the management minors, at least you could try to leverage those for promotion some time… Maybe.</p>
