best down pillows?

For years, we have been buying Costco Pacific Coast down pillows. We tend to have to buy new ones every few years because they don’t fluff up as much over time or because they get stained or otherwise age.

We have been getting them 2 per pack at a good price from Costco. We are mostly back and sometimes side sleepers. We don’t like the foam of down substitute pillows.

I have seen that there are feather and down pillows on Sam’s Club website, which says it is available at the warehouse.

Any recommendations on what down pillows YOU and your family like best, as well as websites on where to purchase?

I’ve been thinking of getting the Costco ones. I have at least one from the Company Store and it’s fine but not great. I’m tempted to get them from Macy’s when they have their January sale.

At the current time, Costco.com and our local Costco have NO down pillows and none on order. May check out Ross or the Sam’s Club pillows. Like being able to replace them periodically without feeling like it cost a ton. Believe the Sam’s Club ones are $29.99, which is slightly more than the 2-pack Costco carried at least as recently as 2010.

Would love other suggestions of what people have tried and are happy with. So far, we have only purchased Costco Pacific Coast and Ross down (and feather) pillows; they have been OK for us.

The Costco pillows are great unless you buy the king size. Our experience is that those tend to “break down” in the middle pretty quickly. But the standard size ones are awesome and a very good deal.

We have only purchased the standard size, but haven’t seen the down pillows at Costco recently and they said at our local warehouse that they aren’t on order, nor are they at Costco.com, which is a bad sign, to us. :(

Anyone tried Sam’s Club down pillows? That might be what we try next.

Pottery Barn Kids (not available at regular Pottery Barn). Down pillows were standard size only, great price ($20ish and very good quality. They only had a few on display in the store but were happy to order them. Purchased about 2 yrs ago.

Hmm, never heard of Pottery Barn Kids. Thanks, but no stores in HI of either PB of PBK. :frowning: Oh well, the search continues. That’s a very good price for down pillows.

After much trial and error, we have settled on the “Gosa Raps” pillows from Ikea. They come in 3 sizes and 3 different fill weights (stomach, side, and back sleepers); reasonably priced.

Thanks–sadly Ikea doesn’t have any HI stores, nor will they ship to HI. :frowning: Will look into it anyway and perhaps put some in our suitcase on our next trip. ;)
