<p>The Graduate with Dustin Hoffman</p>

<p>Hoffman’s acting is unparallel! He is so awkward it’s like my anthem. The camera angles and lighting is unmatchable. Dustin Hoffman IS the graduate…</p>

<p>On so many levels that movie is the greatest: dialogue, character transformation, conflict, camera angles (redundancy alert!), lighting, and acting.</p>

<p>Dr. Strangelove Or: How I learned to Stop Worring and Love the Bomb</p>

<p>AMAZING. This film is groundshattering on every level. The flight crew, Peter Sellers, Dr. Strangelove’s character is phenomenal, the bomb, the russian ambassador, the conversations with the president and the premier, the war room, “no fighting in the war room,” and peter sellers.</p>

<p>So many allegories in that movie with the character dr. strangelove.</p>

<p>I love the movie because it is satirical, hilarious, and absurd. Unlike every other cold war movie, EVERYTHING goes completely wrong, and that music that accomponies the nuking is hilarious. I also dig the sexual music at the beginning when the plain is getting refuled.</p>

<p>I could say so much about this awesome yet forgotten movie (especially with our generation!) but the point is that dr. strangelove is the best movie ever created.</p>

<p>American History X. Just a riveting movie that never ceases to move me, no matter how many times I watch it. </p>

<p>Illusionist- I love it because I have a different interpretation of the ending every time I watch it- few movies let me do that. </p>

<p>Fight Club… ok I’ll just say it and skip why… ANYTHING with Edward Norton (except for the Incredible Hulk… just a bad movie) lol.</p>

<p>Growing up my favorite movie was Newsies. Don’t know why. Still love watching it from time to time :slight_smile: (makes me feel like a little kid again).</p>

<p>The Departed - I just loved everything about it, the cast, dialogue, the story and twists. </p>

<p>I agree with Fight Club - I just watched it again the other day, great movie.</p>

<p>In terms of current movies, for sure Avatar.</p>

<p>I definitely agree with Gladiator, Fight Club, and the Star Wars series (episodes IV, V, VI). Although, I do like episode III as well.</p>

<p>The Shawshank Redemption. Amazing movie. Tim Robbins and Morgan Freeman are two of the best actors around, and the story’s really touching.</p>

<p>Most of those are very well known, but garden state may actually be my favorite and it is least known. it is smart, funny, moving, inspiring. Zach braff wrote, directed, and acted in it. he has a true filmmaker’s eye. It is a must see movie.</p>

<p>The wackness is also a phenomenal movie starring josh peck from drake and josh where he plays an awkward, virgin, drug dealer in the early 90s in new york city. When giuliani was new in town and notorious BIG was on the radio. its so good.</p>
