<p>Help! We have had no luck finding a small (under maybe 9,000) school with friendly kids, but very good sciences (especially Biology), high numbers of graduates getting into good med schools, but that also has a good Music Composition program or more than one professor who teaches music composition, for a minor in Composition (or if need be, just Music.) My child doesn’t want a drug or party school, nor a high percentage of frat/sorority membership. Good theater program a big plus. Wants small classes and to really know his professors. Interested in working collaboratively rather than competitively. 3.8 at a good private high school, 1480 SAT, 5 on AP Bio. Does anyone have ideas? </p>
<p>(Undergraduate) biology is the same everywhere. Music composition is not. Any school with a good music composition program and (at least) a basic biology degree should be good for your child.</p>
<p>Don’t look at medical school statistics for a particular college; they are meaningless and easily manipulated. As long as a school is decent and accredited, gaining admission to medical school is primarily a result of the student, not the school.</p>
