Best house not in the quad?

What should be the #4 choice on my list after the three quad houses?

i’d say go for hill, cuz of the great community atmosphere. i live in the quad, and whenever i go to hill on a saturday night, people are roaming around between a bunch of different dorm room parties.

it seems like a more connected/freer version of the quad, but just with crappier rooms and no air conditioning.

First off, don’t put all three Quad houses as your top 3 choices, since virtually all the spots in the Quad are assigned in the first round (looking at everyone’s #1). What you really need to do is come up with a #2 option that isn’t in the Quad that really interests you. Take a look at the high rises and see if any residential programs appeal to you. Also consider Hill, which boasts the highest concentration of freshmen anywhere on campus (~98%). And of course, consider my own house, Gregory. It’s the smallest house, which certainly lends it a distinctive character that some find…odd, but the sense of community is truly unparallelled. Best of luck with your decisions, and let me know if you have any further questions.
