Which colleges set you up for the best internships? And which internships are considered the most prestigious? Dave Berry investigates: https://www.collegeconfidential.com/articles/best-internships-and-internship-colleges/
I’m very surprised GWU isn’t on that list.
As noted in the original post in this thread, Vault also ranks the 50 most prestigious internships & lists the pay for the top 17 most prestigious internships.
- Google–$7,000 per month
- Apple–$5,000 per month
- Microsoft–$7,100 per month
- Tesla—$26 hour
- Facebook–$8,000 per month
- Goldman Sachs–$5,700 per month
- Amazon–$6,100 per month
- J.P.Morgan–$25 hour
- Space X–$26 per hour
- The Walt Disney Co.–$16 per hour
- Nike–$19 per hour
- Morgan Stanley–$11 per hour
- IBM–$24 per hour
- Deloitte–$26.50 per hour
- Berkshire Hathaway–$13 per hour
- Intel–$28 per hour
- ESPN–$11 per hour
Length of internship is not shared in the article & bonus/stock option/incentive pay is not listed. Although free or subsidized housing is noted for some along with travel reimbursement. A Some internships are as short as 10 weeks, others last 2 years with 6 month rotations.
Ranking the top 50 most prestigious internships certainly involves an element of subjectivity. McKinsey, for example, is ranked as the 23rd most prestigious internship and Bain & Co. at 39th with BCG a more palatable #19. Yet Deloitte is at #15.
