Just wondering if anyone has suggestions on a keyboard that works well for the iPad mini? Thanks! It’s our new toy and I’m thinking it would be more useful at meetings if I could actually type on it more readily than using the touchscreen. I am still not used to typing on glass.

Thanks for your suggestions. Have read a few reviews of different keyboards but am pretty undecided.

Not sure about mini, but my daughter and a lot of her classmates and faculty use the Zagg folio with the regular Ipad. It is a case with the keyboard built in. although it can be removed from the case. After daughter dropped and destroyed the keyboard, Zagg replaced case and keyboard no questions asked.

We bought this iHome keyboard to use with our regular size iPad. I’ve been happy with it - lightweight for traveling and the keyboard is more of a regular size than some of the mini keyboards that for me were hard to type on - we actually purchased ours in a Staples store where they had a display model to see actual size, place your fingers on, etc.

I recommend going into an office supply store to “trial” a keyboard. I would have thought that I would want one of the “mini” ones but upon looking/feeling them they were so crowded and I just didn’t like the feel of the keys. The one I decided on above, isn’t the physical size of a regular keyboard but more the key placement and spacing is - which was a plus to me (in addition to it being lightweight)

Yes, I have tried the Apple aluminum keyboard. I seem to make a lot of typos using it. Maybe I’ll get better with it, but somehow my fingers are more used to the standard size keyboard, where I can touchtype without looking at the keys. Am not sure I can do that when I use the cramped keyboards. Would be OK with a full-size Bluetooth keyboard that is compatible with the iPad mini. Will have to look around maybe at office supply stores and try using the Apple keyboard our webmaster has again.

I also use a regular wireless keyboard. I have 2 clips - you can buy them for $10-12 on Amazon, called WINGStand - that slide on the keyboard and hold the ipad in either orientation. It may not be the easiest thing to set up at a meeting though. I haven’t used a keyboard case.
