Best Loan option for smaller amounts?

Hey!
I have $1,500 left for tuition and am planning to take a private student loan out so I don’t get a late fee. I could repay this back in maybe 2-3 months with my part time job. Therefore, I wanted to ask which lenders are best for “smaller” per say values. I don’t want a lot of interest. Any reliable lenders, you’ve had a good experience with? Thank you

A loan for this (relatively) small amount for only two to three months: do you have a credit card you can charge it to?

A credit card

See is your bank offers an overdraft option where you can overdraw your checking account by 1500 and pay it back over a few months. The interest would probably be lower than a CC. You’d have to apply for this overdraft option.

If you have no credit card, have you already used your federal direct student loan eligibility? That is usually a better deal than any private loan.

Does the school have a payment plan? Those usually cost $30-50 to set up.

If your credit card limit is too low (student cards often are), then you should call the credit card company and ask if they can raise your limit. If you’ve been using the card responsibly and had it for a couple of years then they might agree. I agree that getting a federally subsidized student loan is a good choice too. Especially if you don’t already have a large student loan balance.

Have you talked to the school at all? In addition to offering payment plans, a few have their own micro loans.

Does your credit union offer student loans?
