I am a rising HS senior and am currently applying to college. I would like to know some good options for college majors that will allow me to complete prerequisites for a medicine path/future. I know one doesn’t have to major in Bio to go to med school. I am interested in any field/major that is relative to medicine (i.e. Anatomy, Sociology, etc.) Also, what colleges have the best program or reputation for these types of majors? Thanks!
You can major in literally anything and go to medical school - whether it’s a life science, a social science, or a humanities field that seems completely removed from medicine. Any major will allow you to complete the pre-med prerequisites, although some majors with lots of requirements (like engineering, music, etc.) might make it difficult to do so in four years.
Anatomy generally isn’t a college major (too narrow). The closest thing is likely to be biology.
