<p>What would be the best thing to major in the nightclub industry? Are there any colleges that are somewhat more geared towards management for a club or bar, kind of like how Cornell has its school for hotel administration? Would some of the more traditional business schools at places like UVA, UCB, etc. be good? Obviously it’s a risky business so I still want to have something I can fall back on too.</p>
<p>your best bet would be go to a college in a major city and start working as a college promoter for nightclubs. it’s far from the glamorous job of being the nightclub owner, but you’ll start making your connections there and get a better understanding of how nightclubs work. it can be more fun though if you’re involved/connected on campus and decide to market for a nightclub that targets the college crowd.</p>
