<p>Just wondering what majors/programs UCD is strong in. </p>
<p>I’m interesting in biological sciences, more specifically neurobiology and genetics, psychology, and am not going to major in creative writing/literature/ect. but would love to go to a college with a strong program in it. Thanks!</p>
<p>UC Davis is a comprehensive university and they pride themselves in having cross-disciplinary approaches in many areas of study. If you have diverse interests you should find UCD to be a good match. If you have specific questions I suggest you email the head of the department that you are interested in.</p>

<p>okay, and thank you very much for the helpful links! i was just wondering though if there were any specific programs ucd was known for? kind of like ucsd is known for engineering/ect?</p>
<p>ucd is really strong in the biological and animal sciences as well as agriculture. they’re one of the few universities that has an entire college dedicated to biological sciences. and as i said before, animal science is strong for veterinarians.
but really davis is strong in almost anything of the sciences, and they do also have a good engineering program</p>
<p>how about social stuffs, specifically ’ international relation " because i heard many students in UC Davis are majoring in this ?</p>
<p>Political Science, IR and Public Health are all popular majors with great programs. With the state capital close by there are plenty of opportunities for internships. Many students in these majors take advantage of the UCDC program:

<p>UC Davis also has one of the top ranked art programs in the country. </p>
<p>Davis is pretty well rounded with all majors. Even though a wide majority of students are science/eng majors. I have a friend in an LDA program and his professor worked for the firm that designed Union Square in SF. So the prestige is pretty widespread among the faculty.</p>
