Best majors

what are Bowdoin’s strongest/most well regarded majors

government & legal studies, economics, english, music, and the sciences

gov (poli sci) is consistently one of the top majors.

how’s Economics in Bowdoin compared to… let’s say U Chicago, MIT, UMich, UC Berkeley.

i can’t speak for all of those schools. i know MIT is pretty intense (almost nerdy…depending on who you are that might not be your scene). but econ is good. if you’re worried about practicality, bowdoin gets a certain number of recruits each year to all the major ibanking firms, but you don’t have to be an econ major if you go to bowdoin.

if you go to say, uchicago, that might be harder to pull off

what about math?

Which majors tend to be the easier ones at Bowdoin?

buump which majors tend to be less demanding?

africana studies, german, and gender & women studies. though no class will be easy here so just take what you really enjoy- if you are truly interested you will do well
