One of the best movies was Atonement. Seriously. I adore Keira Knightley and I think she was amazing in this. Definitely a great actress. Saroise whatsherlastname was fantastic as well. Beautifully filmed…I really, really enjoyed it. I really did.

Hairspray was quite good in my opinion. I’ve seen the stage version, and I think they did a fairly good job. Not like some disappointments (Rent!) and I think they casted some great talent. James Marsden might just have been my favorite part of the movie, as well as Elijah Kelley. I thought it was done well, though it still isn’t as amazing as the show.

I really enjoyed Juno too. Ellen Page is phenomenal, and pulled the part off SO well. The parents were beautifully casted and did a great job. Leah and Bleeker were great as well, and Jennifer Garner was convincing. I think it was an extremely well-written movie.

I just saw Juno and didn’t really enjoy it. You don’t just put Jason Bateman and Michael Cera in a movie together and not have them share a single scene. That and Bateman was a loser in the film, literally.

For comedy, I will have to go with Knocked Up, with Superbad coming pretty close (just for the cops). Live Free Die Hard is imo the second best die hard film, behind the first. Another fave of 2007 is 3:10 to Yuma. I still need to see No Country For Old Men.

Sweeney Todd. As a rule, I don’t really like musicals made into movies, but this was PHENOMENAL. And who knew Johnny Depp and Helena Bonham Carter could sing? AMAZING!!!

Ratatouille was cute, and probably the first movie since Happy Feet that my entire family has liked.

Juno was great. That’s not usually my type of film, but the script was so well-written and the actors so wonderful…The soundtrack, btw, is definitely worth buying.
As to snipez90’s comment…He was supposed to be a loser. I don’t think you should dislike a movie simply because your favorite actor was cast as “the bad guy” for once.
