Best noise-canceling headphones?

I bought some on Black Friday (Beats Studio 2 Wireless) and they just kind of suck so I’m going to take them back and get something else.

Does anyone have any that they really like? I need over-the-ear ones, don’t care if they’re wired or wireless, most important thing is that they block out noise!

Bose wins IMO - in a relatively reasonable price range. And they are sturdy.

Bose is by far the leader in noise cancelling headsets, there are other companies that compete well but at a much higher price.

+1 to Bose. Beats are overrated, IMO.

Ok this is helpful. These are the ones I was looking at because they’re a very reasonable price at Best Buy right now:

Bose® - QuietComfort® 25 Acoustic Noise Cancelling Headphones:

One of my family members has those. Great price!

Ok I ordered them :). There’s a $5 back coupon from RetailMeNot just in case anyone else is making a Best Buy purchase anytime soon.

Now to return those Beats…

The padding on my friend’s Bose was warn. It cost a few dollars more to buy them at the local Bose store than to,order on-line, and the saleswoman installed them. My friend says they feel new.

@romanigypsyeyes, are those OVER ear - I couldn’t tell for sure.
Both of my sons have (or had, until one left them on a plane) these -Sennheiser HD1. They are expensive but they both really liked them. One son actually just ordered a new pair for himself.

My husband bought me the Bose quiet comfort 35 last year for Christmas, best present I ever got.

I know you can’t read this, Roman, because you ignored me a while ago, but I will add my 2 cents anyway…

I tried the Bose QC35s and ended up returning them for two reasons: 1) They fit rather loosely on the head compared to the Beats, and 2) I noticed that if I used them while walking or hiking, the impact of my heels on the ground would cause the sound to cut out for a split second. It was rather annoying.

After the Bose headphones, I tried the Beats and liked how they fit, but they were a little too bassy sounding for me. I ended up going with a pair of Audiotechnica ATH-M50xs (not noise cancelling) and love them.

I am one of those weekly East coast-West coast commuters. I have been using Bose headphones (QC15 onwards, now at QC35 SII) on my flights and have been satisfied with all of them.

I usually check out CNET’s reviews since they will discuss the features that make a difference for each person https://www.cnet.com/topics/headphones/best-headphones/noise-canceling/. I prefer ear buds so I go with those.

Definitely don’t get Beats - they are notorious for having the sound die on one side (I think it’s the right).

Those Best Buy Bose are a steal!

Ordered and they should be here by Friday. Just in time to go visit my in-laws

Just bought my all three of my kids the wireless Bose. I have the Beats and find them uncomfortable.

These Sonys are the best reasonably priced, wireless noise cancelling over the ear headphones. Better than Bose: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B074KDJVS2/_encoding=UTF8?coliid=I1SWWAVZNGI283&colid=ZZ0V3NE1SB6J&psc=1

Got the bose 25. Love them already. They are infinitely better than the beats.
