Best Parking Lot for CS Major?

Which parking lot would you recommend for a computer science major?
Choice of Lot 1, 4, 6, 9, 11, or SDG

Parking Map:

???? I'm assuming you are a prospective freshman? You're not likely to have much of a choice on your parking lot. If you are going to be a commuter, you may get a better choice (???), but if you're living on campus, you'll probably be assigned the Comcast lot.

I was actually admitted as a transfer student with junior standing. On the website it says I can pick one of the following:
Choice of Lot 1, 4, 6, 9, 11 & SDG

I will be commuting to school.

Just wanted to know from current students' experiences if there is a Lot # that they would recommend for most convenience

First of all, welcome to UMD! Second, I don't know the parking that well, but XX1 is the Computer Science Instructional Center, which is where 95-100% of your classes will be. So I'd go somewhere near there.

Sorry, cylarian. Every year we get questions from incoming freshmen wanting to know which dorm they should request (as if they have a choice)....I assumed this was similar to that. Enjoy your time at UMD, and if you don't mind, if you could tell us your brief story....where are you transferring from, etc. We hear back from so few transfer students!

Wherever you get your parking permit, don't park someplace you're not supposed to. The UMD DOTS is <<not>> a warm, friendly, and understanding group....</not>
