Hi,
I am looking to apply to a post bacc certificate in computer science program at Drexel University. It will be approximately $14k for the entire program. I can pay out of pocket, but would prefer not too since it could potentially spread me too thin. Anyone have recommendations on a good place to apply for private school loans?

You can still get financial aid through the Drexel FA office, it will just not be as good as an undergrad would get. Unsubsidized loans instead of subbed.
Otherwise you’ll have to go to a private lender like Sallie Mae or Wells Fargo.
Unfortunately financial aid through Drexel is not available for this program. Only a pay as you go financing option is available.
Then I’d guess it is not a certified program. You’ll have trouble getting a ‘student loan’ from any source if the program doesn’t qualify.
Did Drexel say that the program does NOT qualify for a Direct Federal Loan? If so, then the program doesn’t meet the criteria for a student loan.
Drexel said that the program does not qualify for financial aid. They do have payment plans available, but the payments are still very high. The program is an accredited program that provides a certificate upon completion.
Did you ask specifically about fed loans? They may have thought you were asking about grants.
Yes and they mentioned that nothing was available except internal financing options. Worst case scenario I will have to take private loans out. Thank you for the responses!
