Best prep for Calc BC?

What would you guys say is the best prep for Calc BC for someone who is coming straight from precalc? I currently have the Calculus for Dummies book from my brother but he tells me that it really isn’t too good of an extensive review. I’ve never been great at math and I didn’t quite get a good grasp of trig/precalc this year but I’m willing to work my butt off to score a 4 or 5 on the BC exam.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

This website includes Thomas Calculus Textbook(readings and questions) and tons of videos of every Calculus subject covered in both AB and BC as well as other Calculus topics such as Vector Calculus and Second Order deferential equations(not on either AP Test)

Enjoy!

Wow, quite an extensive review of calculus…so how do you suppose I use this online book to my advantage? Should I go over it after I’ve gone through the Calculus for Dummies book?

What I would do is watch the videos and do book problems. If you know where to look you can get the answer keys to the book problems for free (the name of the book is Thomas Calculus 11th edition). Also Calculus for Dummies is really good to understand the fundamentals (how to differentiate, integrate and some the basic techniques) but its not enough to study for an AP test. I would use Calculus for Dummies when ever you don’t understand a general concept, because it will explain it in very coherent language rather than a cluster of variables.

Great site. Thanks viciouspoultry. I wish I knew about that earlier.

bump any more opinions? Does that book cover A material as well?

According to the above quote, yes, it does.

Barron’s has great practice.

The AP Calc. teacher at my school buys his whole class the AMSCO prep book during Christmas season(since there’s usually only 7 or 8 people in the class each year).

Is the Amsco prep book good for AP Calc. BC?
