What is the best prep. material for getting 2100? Although not at the score yet, (hovering around 1850, Barrons) I plan to do so, for all of you there that mannaged to get 2400’s or had a problem like me from progressing from 1870, what is the best advice regarding prep. material can you give? Whether it be turoring, or books or online help etc. Thanks!

Hm, if you have around 1870, that’s above 600 on each section, so you probably know enough of the material to not need to buy a separate book. Either way, the best book depends on what you need. For instance, Gruber’s is great for math but not for critical reading. RocketReview is pretty good all-around, but there aren’t enough practice questions. Princeton Review is great for general test-taking strategies. But again, you probably don’t need to buy anything or do anything on-line. Just learn the material, and that’ll get you pretty much an 800 on math (easiest to improve on). For critical reading, no test prep book will help you extraordinarily much, I don’t think—they definitely haven’t helped me all that much–I probably would’ve done better by just reading more and getting more reading practice. For writing, I recommend that you read my posts! That’s probably more than enough to give you an 11-12 on the essay.

^Agreed, and I recommend Rocket Review. As far as practice questions go, only use official ones, such as those in the BB. Math was the easiest for me to improve on too–I went from 580 to 760 in two weeks (using RR to prep and BB tests to diagnose). And then, strangely, down to 670 and then 690. . . .
