Best school for Filmography

Hey Guys, I have an idea. I was wondering wheather we can have a series of threads that discuss specific rankings for specific fields.

Most people would agree that Harvard is the best University overall but an aspiring musician would find that Julliard is far better for his specific field.

So instead of having generic lists I thought we should categorize the rankings some. So that’s why I am asking which school do you think is the best for filmography? (detailed explanations please). Thanks.

Are you looking for colleges that are best for Filmography? If so, the College Search forum is where that post belongs. The Prep School Forum is specifically meant for info on prep schools.

Due to my lack of knowledge in the world of academics, I do not quite know what exactly this “course” you speak of is. As far as I know none of the schools even offer this so called filmography. Imagine that. In the future if you could give a description of the class you are talking about I believe it would help clear such details up. Such as this “Law” class you speak of. I am only a sophomore however clearly I have much to learn. I had heard of a class called “Photography” but “Filmography” never. In fact I was so mesmerized by this thought of a class I decided to look it up.

filmography |filˈm

Speilberg went to Groton.

Look it up.

Ha ha fine you caught me out. Perhaps I meant photography. We can still decide which school is renouned for its arts and photography and videography ?? through a number of markers. Does the school have a tradition of producing a large number of succesful actors and directors ? Does the school make funny well made videos on youtube ?(check these out: [YouTube - Facebook.com Song](http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-PH4aElf6CU) [YouTube - VS Gravity](http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Z_fEUW-r234))
Does the school offer a twining/ summer program at any art institutions ? Is the school in close proximity to a art gallery etc. ? All of these can help an avid up and comming director to find the perfect school for him…

maybe interlochen where you can actually focus on film making. but i dont know of other art prep schools. exeter offers film making but i dont know much about it. anyways i find these threads kind of weird

Perhaps you should start a thread on best boarding schools if you want to be a crappy president. Andover comes to mind. It would be no more inane than this thread and all your other “best for” threads. Kafkare - aren’t you the same one who created threads making fun of other folks questions??
