I want to major in either English or graphic design, possibly double major, with hopes of becoming either a professional writer or graphic designer. I’ve narrowed it down to these schools that I want to apply to and was looking for advice about which would be the best to attend based on quality of education, financial aid, and student housing.
Possible relevant information: I’m in my mid-30s transferring from a community college.

University of Michigan
Wesleyan University
Michigan State University
Columbia College: Chicago
Wow, those are widely divergent. Are you in-state for Michigan? For both of those majors I would look in-state for less expensive rates.
Yes, I’m in state. I want to find a program that will help me secure right away; I’m not so concerned about cost as I know I’ll receive a fair bit in financial aid.
