(sung) Whenever I see someone
Less fortunate than I
(And let’s face it - who isn’t
Less fortunate than I?)
My tender heart
Tends to start to bleed
And when someone needs a makeover
I simply have to take over
I know I know exactly what they need
And even in your case
Tho’ it’s the toughest case I’ve yet to face
Don’t worry - I’m determined to succeed
Follow my lead
And yes, indeed
You will be:

Popular!
You’re gonna be popular!
I’ll teach you the proper ploys
When you talk to boys
Little ways to flirt and flounce
I’ll show you what shoes to wear
How to fix your hair
Everything that really counts

To be popular
I’ll help you be popular!
You’ll hang with the right cohorts
You’ll be good at sports
Know the slang you’ve got to know
So let’s start
'Cause you’ve got an awfully long way to go:

Don’t be offended by my frank analysis
Think of it as personality dialysis
Now that I’ve chosen to be come a pal, a
Sister and adviser
There’s nobody wiser
Not when it comes to popular -
I know about popular
And with an assist from me
To be who you’ll bee
Instead of dreary who-you-were: are:
There’s nothing that can stop you
From becoming popu-
Ler: lar:

La la la la
We’re gonna make
You popular

When I see depressing creatures
With unprepossessing features
I remind them on their own behalf
To think of
Celebrated heads of state or
Specially great communicators
Did they have brains or knowledge?
Don’t make me laugh!

They were popular! Please -
It’s all about popular!
It’s not about aptitude
It’s the way you’re viewed
So it’s very shrewd to be
Very very popular
Like me!

(spoken) Why, Miss Elphaba, look at you. You’re beautiful.

ELPHABA(spoken) I - I have to go:

GALINDA
(spoken) You’re welcome!
(sung) And though you protest
Your disinterest
I know clandestinely
You’re gonna grin and bear it
Your new found popularity
La la la la
You’ll be popular -
Just not as quite as popular
As me!

Hahah I like Wicked.
Except everyone on colorguard became obsessed with the musical soundtrack for a while and listened to it non-stop so now I kind of cringe when I hear it.

The music and singing were impressive, but the storyline seemed like it could have been ripped right out of any middle school hallway in America (except the talking animals and such). Some of the stage effects were pretty good though, like the cape thing at the end of the first act.

I’ve read the book, and I’ve never seen the show, but I really can’t see how they’d set the book to music and make it all…happy and musicalized. haha

That was a seriously awesome play, and only because of politics did it not win best musical. One of the best broadway’s I’ve seen in a long time, and I was lucky enough to see it with the original cast.

to the person who said it wouldnt last long:
it has been the #1 show on broadway ever since it started. a couple of weeks ago, i stood in line for the ticket lottery, and on a wednesday afternoon, there were at least 200 people in line hoping to be one of the 14 names they call for the front row $25 seats. while talking to a lot of people in the crowd, i learned that most of them had stood in that line at least 5 times in the past. many others had seen it multiple times, and cant get enough of it. i dont think wicked is going anywhere for a long long time. thank goodness!

Kashmir and Stairway to Heaven are both good, but too long for me to really like them.My favorite Zeppelin song is Going to California. I really don’t have an overall favorite song. It used to be Bohemian Rhapsody, but I kinda grew out of it if you know what I mean. I listened to it so much that now I don’t like it as much.

Hahah I could listen to Kashmir on repeat forever, but definitely not Stairway.

Bohemian Rhapsody is good…basically anything by Queen is good. My favorite song’s probably Eleanor Rigby by the Beatles, but I like most classic rock.
Don’t like AC/DC or Nirvana (not really classic, but still sometimes in that category for some people), though, and usually not Aerosmith.
