Any advice on purchasing computer accessories, such as cables. locks, speakers etc? Should we just go to Office Max/Staples or do Internet sites like NewEgg offer better merchandise or better pricing for standard items? THANKS. The computer is a MACBook.

Since you have a mac, the apple store online (www.apple.com) will feature many accessories that are compatible with your laptop. I’d recommend a carrying case (which you may also be able to get at another site) and an external mouse.

I was going to write NewEgg but you beat me to it. If you live near one, Fry’s is good, too.

Yeah, my son orders everything from NewEgg.

S orders most of his computer supplies from NewEgg, TigerDirect, or ZipZoomFly.

Fry’s, Circuit City. If ordering on the web - Amazon.com.
