Basically, I will be studying by myself for the SATs, I have the whole summer to do that, since I’m planning to take them in the fall and not think about them during my junior year (currently a sophomore). I have limited resources, so I really wouldn’t want to buy a hundred books just for one subject, so I was hoping maybe you could help me decide which would be the best textbooks for me. I know the different editions provide different kind of help, and I’m really determined to get 750+, so here’s my plan:

Biology M - I need a textbook with lessons that are very well explained, since the Bio course in my school doesn’t cover the genetics part. I don’t need a textbook that provides me with unnecessary info, just something that emphasizes the explanations of the problems and the lessons.

Chemistry - Here I will need more practice, it would be nice to have also good explanations, but I often make very stupid mistakes, so practice tests are definitely my priority.

Math 1/2 - Haven’t decided yet which one of them, but whatever I choose, I will need tons of practices, again because of the thoughtless mistakes I make. I don’t really care if there are explanations included, but I need practice on problems that will actually appear on the test.

By the way, what do you think of SAT German and Italian? I have been studying German for two years now, but this is definitely not my strongest subject. I was fluent in Italian when I was younger and knew the grammar perfectly, but I don’t have time for refreshing courses, so I’m hesitating whether a textbook will help me to prepare. Has anybody taken any of these?

Please, guys, I need your help, share your personal experience, I know I may sound chaotic, but I’ve been asking and asking and I never got a straightforward and useful answer. Thank you in advance!
