just wondering…which is best based on social life and an international student body? What about the dorms? I want to apply to one of them but don’t know which. My major is undecided, but will prbably be in the business/eco area or humanities.

for the areas you listed, Bing would be the best

The best SUNY school all around is Binghamton. I would say FIT is the best for location because it is in NYC, but besides that ALBANY would be the second best- there is A LOT to do there and there are great parties. My AP English Lit teacher graduated from there 5 years ago (she is only 9 years older than I am) and she loved it.

Binghamton: best University Center all around. Albany: (reputedly) best for social life. UBuffalo may have the most diverse (and international) student body. Academically, I believe UAlbany has been recently cited for the strength of its business-related programs, Binghamton would be best of the three for humanities.

I graduated from SUNY Oswego in the 80’s.I met dear friends I have enjoyed for life. The professors were wonderful and many invited students to their homes for dinner. The lake setting is beautiful and there is a ritual of hundreds of kids walking to the lake’s edge each eving to cheer the sunset…BTW national Geographic magazine rated the sunset as in top ten in the world, SO yes agreed Bing takes top rating for scholars. However I wouldnt overlook oswego if you are interested in teaching or communications.I also know its accounting program is top rated.
