Best-tasting veggie burger?

You don’t sound like you are looking to start from scratch, but if anyone wants a fabulous recipe, Fitgers in Duluth makes a killer wild rice burger (and I am not a huge wild rice fan, but I LOVE this burger). They won’t give out the recipe, but here is a recipe someone provided that is a good replica:

Razorsharp–I never met anyone who ate chicken who called themselves a vegetarian. That’s just silly.

Most of the v’s I know are so for enviro reasons. They object to factory farming etc. AS long as they’re not making a meal of it, they’re okay. AFter all, plenty of animals die in the process of growing vegetables, grain, etc. If molecules of animal mattered, everyone would starve.

garland–there are definitely people who think they are vegetarians who eat poultry. Sure it’s silly, but aren’t we all? And I used to know vegetarians who basically ate white food; flour, juice and sugar. Where is the vegetable in that ? And I’ve heard that strict vegetarians in countries like India don’t die of B vitamin deficiencies because there are insects in the grains they eat.

But these are great suggestions. We have no Trader Joes here and don’t get the variety of products that some of you all do but I’m taking notes and will be looking around.

We tried the black bean chipole burgers and they were really good, we do like spicy food.
