Got into Penn - but now I gotta think about AP Credits. I’m just wondering if you guys can give me some pointers about good books for AP Test Prep.

AP Econ (Barron’s does a good job)
AP Psych (I’ve got Barron’s)
AP Calc BC ??
AP Chemistry ??
AP Physics C ??
AP English Lit & Comp (Teacher recommended Princeton Review, how is it?)

For calc I like Barron’s. The tests and stuff were harder than the real exam though, and I thought I was gonna get a 3. But, when I took the ap exam I found it was really easy and answered every question for an easy 5. It was very helpful for me, I self-studied and that was my only resource.

Elodie, although I never too the IB econ exam (took AP econ my sophomore year and the IB wouldn’t let me take the exam because I wasn’t in the right grade level … psshhh), I have IB practice tests and the Barron’s AP Econ book and I think that you would be adequately prepped even if you just used the Barron’s.

I love the Barron’s Chemistry, but that is only because I like the indepth reviews. As always, the more concise and probably quicker review would be PR, although I find that the Kaplan Chemistry is also pretty quick and concise without being as … incomplete? … as the PR. Not saying that the PR is bad, but if you want to go shorter, I think that you should get Kaplan.

The PR Calculus is not bad, although I, again, prefer Barron’s.

And Physics … I suppose the same. I guess I just like the depth that Barron’s presents, but I also own the PR and Kaplan and I’ve found that they are good review.
