<p>Best Time To Start Self Studying? I’m self studying AP Comparative Government & Politics. I got the Ethel Wood review book (newest edition) on Amazon, just wondering when the best time to start self studying it. This would be the first time I ever self studied an AP course.</p>

<p>You should give yourself 3-4 months for easy-med courses and 4-5 months for harder courses to self-study. So I’d suggest start studying during winter break in late December until May (1 hr a day).</p>

<p>I started selfing Comp Gov 2 weeks before the test. I read Ethel 3 times and took both practice tests. I got an easy 5. I’d recommend that you start 1-2 months in advance though.</p>
