<p>We are thinking of having our daughter take the Princeton Review Comprehensive ACT prep course. She is currently a Sophmore and in our school district all kids take it in their junior year in Feb or Mar. Due to the number of weekly hours in this course, we were thinking of having her do it this summer. Or is that too soon? Thanks!</p>

The PR classes are pretty extensive…im taking the sat one and its about 8 hours a week.
During the summer, the classes are most effective because you have more time to focus on it.</p>
<p>do it in the summer but comparing the princeton review and kaplan, kaplan has more tactics and i know this because i’ve contacted both offices and i’m going to take one over summer for both the SAT and ACT</p>
<p>I did the SAT one during the summer and it hasn’t improved my score. I know a friend who took it also and has improved his score greatly (but it’s because he was doing horrible at first). If your daughter is diligent enough to learn on her own, then I recommend just buying their Princeton Review ACT manual and save yourself hundreds of dollars. The teacher in their classes basically follows the manual and all you’re paying for it for the teacher to be reading the manual in front of the class.</p>
