Best tour to Yosemite from San Francisco

I am looking for one day trip to Yosemite from SF around Christmas time. Can anyone give me some advice on which tour company I should sign up for. I prefer confortable /coach bus than mini van.

which is better Gray Line or Yosemite Tours.Travel

Wow, let me know, too. That sounds like a great trip!

One day round trip? It’s almost four hours each way. Maybe more with bad weather.

Thanks Cardinal,
yes, it is day trip and I have tight schedule in SF

C88…hmmm…if you have a tight schedule in SF, not sure I’d try Yosemite. As Cardinal said, it’s easily 4 hours one way. Throw in some commute traffic, road construction and weather delays, and your schedule goes out the window. Here’s today’s road update link:
[Current Conditions - Yosemite National Park (U.S. National Park Service)](<a href=“Current Conditions - Yosemite National Park (U.S. National Park Service)”>Current Conditions - Yosemite National Park (U.S. National Park Service))

In the winter, the waterfalls are minimal, the upper roads are closed for the season. It can be beautiful, but not sure I’d do it for one day. If it’s awful weather, do either of the tour companies offer refunds?

Thank you for the info, gosmom!

Yosemite is magic in the winter. A few years ago my husband got a prize at his work: a December weekend at the Ahwanee, the gorgeous hotel in Yosemite Valley. When we drove into the valley, it was snowing, and we felt like we were driving into a Christmas card.

Be aware that weather delays can be significant (and we Californians are hoping for many weather delays, because we critically need the snow).

I will definitely enjoy a white Christmas in Yosemite Valley. Even it means 8 hours journey in the bus. Hope our bus is comfortable enough for the long ride.
