My daughter wants to major in chemistry and is interested in pursuing a career in forensics. What schools in the midwest have the strongest undergrad programs for chemistry? She thinks she would be most comfortable at a smaller school. Most of the smaller schools seem to be liberal arts where she would get a BA instead of a BS. Does that make a difference as far as how she will be perceived when applying for jobs/grad schools? Also, will she have to get a master’s to get a job in forensics?
