Best Uses for Bed Bath and Beyond Coupons

How expired can the BBB coupons be before the store no longer accepts them? I started saving the monthly coupons received in the mail since last December, but my D does not graduate until 2015.

Every store seems a bit different BunHeadMom, but I’ve brought in VERY expired coupons and I’ve never had any problem using them.

I’ve used up to 4 coupons per order without any trouble.

I keep some in my car and some in my purse (wallet) so I’m always prepared.

LOVE BBB coupons! My local store’s policy is they accept expired coupons that are snail-mailed or in magazines (Real Simple, for example) but they can’t honor emailed ones that have a bar code expiration.

I have used up to 12 BBB coupons in one visit. No problem. Our store will not accept expired internet coupons or those gotten online…they will accept ones received in the mail or magazine/paper. I totally understand why. Folks could make dozens of prints from online.

I’ve used BBB coupons at our local store as well as the two stores near D1 and D2’s colleges. None of the 3 stores minded how many I used (and for D2, I’d learned and had A LOT!), whether or not they were expired or were the 20% or the $5 off $15.

To the OP, I’d use the pre-selection service they offer where you indicate what you want at your local store and then it’s ready for you at the BBB by your student’s college. You then go through and make sure you still want to buy everything, hand the cashier all your coupons and the system automatically applies them to the most expensive items you’re purchasing. For the majority of things, then, we didn’t do a huge amount of comparison shopping but I did buy a few things (like a coffee maker) on Amazon because it was so much less.

Someone mentioned the velvet (?) thin hangers…those work great in small closets but are significantly less expensive at Costco.

I just saw thumper’s comment and I believe that’s the policy at our local BBB too – must be original copies.

I want to thank everyone for all the feedback that you have given. I hope others have benefitted from this thread as well!

I will go armed with our many saved coupons. My daughter is going to college a two hour’s drive away so our local BBB is probably the best bet. :)

Thanks again!  :)

are the coupons stackable?

You can not use more than one coupon on one item – thus, the biggest discount on a single item is either 20% off or $5 off $15. I don’t believe I’ve ever seen a coupon for a different amount but, either way, the answer is that, no, coupons aren’t stackable.

Stackable - nope.

Local BBB near me in LA doesn’t take expired ones, and won’t let you use more than one in a single purchase. Maybe I’ve also just had lousy cashiers.

The new coupons let you use them on-line (finally)! Nobody has mentioned bedding - if you buy a comforter or a bed in a bag type set the 20% will pay off big.

I shop in the original BB&Y and you can use as many as you want. Given we are in the lull between college, I use them for sodastream cartridges.
