Best way around?

Hey all, first time poster here :D.

I’m just looking for advice on the best ways to transfer into top ivys, especially Wharton at Penn. I recently got rejected by all 8 of the colleges that I applied to this year, so I’m looking to transfer next year. Any tips and suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance.

GPA?
SAT?
are you recently immigrated from another country (this will lead to total rejection as a freshman applicant, I tried)

i’m going to graduate this year roughly with a 4.0 cumulative GPA, and i scored 1370 on my SAT. i’m guessing i got rejected this because of my SATII’s.

Writing 630, Math IC 660, Spanish 600.

Korean Male.

Is the 4.0 weighted or unweighted?

BTW, those are very similar to my HS stats if that’s unweighted GPA…

HS GPA: 4.0 u/w
SAT: 1380
MIC: 660, WR: 620, US His: 600

I don’t know why but I just wanted to mention it…

Where all did you apply?

what school did you apply?

i think it’s a 4.2 or 4.3 weighted and 3.high8 or 3.low to mid 9 unweighted. i’ll pull up my xscripts tomorrow if i can. i applied to harvard, yale, princeton, penn, cmu, cornell, nyu stern, and unc-ch. i’m not too surprised with the rejections after having read some of the people’s profiles on this website.

Edit: thanks for the replies so far :D

Yeah those were all reaches unless you were in-state for UNC, which I’m guessing you weren’t because I’m betting you would’ve been accepted. I don’t mean that in an offensive way either, since your stats are good. Those schools are reaches for most people.

but errr, back to the question! :p

what are my best chances at xferring into those schools?

should i take all honors at a cc (SMC) and hold an accounting job down before xferring, or should i get my butt into Loyola Marymount, concentrate on grades and then xfer from there?
