Best Way to Ace the SAT?

<p>Not really ace it but get above a 2100 i guess?..anyways, im a sophmore and got about a 1630 i think, ill need to check it later. I really want to get a really good SAT score next year along with a better PSAT score as well. I want to get into NYU so SAT score is pretty important. What did you guys do in order to up your SAT/PSAT scores?</p>

<p>maybe sat prep classes?? some people say it helps…some say they don’t (i’ve never taken those…) but you can prolly try those classes? </p>

<p>or you could study hard on your own? buy princeton or w/e books n jus <em>practice</em> a ton!! </p>

<p>Seriously though, I would suggest getting a prep book and going over it, learning vocab and math techniques, and taking practice tests.</p>

<p>i concur, the college board SAT book (blue book) is undoubtedbly the best one to study from.</p>

<p>it would be wise to practice essay writing as well, 25 minutes for an essay will be very difficult without getting used to it.</p>

<p>Cheating takes more effort than non-cheating… therefore, it’s probably not the best way to ace the SAT.</p>

<p>Best way to ace? Dont get questions wrong. Duh! No other way. (Unless you count the fact that in some sections one wrong is still an 800)</p>

<p>Ace, in your terms, is above 2100 which is easily achievable. I’d say take one SAT prep course to get some basics down. Then, practice a lot out of the blue book, read a lot, and memorize a lot of vocab. Most important of these 3 is practice.</p>
