best way to improve vocab for CR section

<p>I’ve heard from many that Direct Hits is a great book for vocabulary. Is it better than the list that Barron gives you in the 24th edition? Also, what is the most effective way to do great on the CR reading section?</p>

<p>Direct Hits is better than any list Barron has conjured up in the past.</p>

<p>DH is efficient.</p>

<p>Barrons is inefficient but comprehensive.</p>

<p>Use DH if you want a life and are not consistently acing every other section.</p>

<p>Use Barrons if you don’t need to study anything else and have absolutely nothing else to do and want to waste your time remembering a mini-dictionary.</p>

<p>which edition of DH should be bought? the 2010 or the new one thats coming out?</p>

<p>Get the new one that comes out. I am sure a book gets better every edition. Plus that mostly they will probably have the same vocab as they did in the 2010 edition.</p>

<p>What is the difference between the volumes? When does the 2011 edition come out?</p>
