what’s the best way to prepare for the english lit exam with only a week left? I’ve taken the English Language AP which I heard was similar to the Lit SAT II. Also, is the Lit exam similar to the CR on the SAT I?

I am wondering the same thing. In addition to the OP’s last question, is the Lit exam similar to the reading section on the ACT?

The best way to prepare for Lit is:

Read literature.

Find SAT Lit review books, preferably Princeton Review, and read review section.

Take practice tests. See what kind of questions you are getting wrong, and review those.

Find more review books, take more practice tests.

Read more literature.

Actually, just reading does wonders for a test that tests you on… your reading! I know, pretty weird. But sarcasm aside, reading is your best friend for SAT CR/SAT Lit/AP English.

Make sure you’re able to stay focused for the passages by practicing actively reading, etc. You’re not going to have much time, so try to maximize the time available.

If you did well on the AP Lang MC, you should do fine on this test. A major difference between the two is that the Lit test has poetry, so make sure you’re ready for that.

The SAT I CR is similar in format to Lit, but the latter has more advanced passages and is overall much more difficult. The curve is less harsh though, so you can miss a couple and still get an 800.
